USA Today Football Poll - NCAA Football Top 25 Coaches Poll

The USA Today football poll for week 2 of the NCAA football season is now available. In the NCAA football top 25 coaches poll a first place vote earns a team 25 points while a twenty-fifth place vote earns a team 1 point.

The week 2 USA Today NCAA football poll has two ACC teams, five Big 12 teams, two Big East teams, three Big Ten teams, four Pac-10 teams, five SEC teams, and four mid-major teams - BYU, Fresno State, Utah, and East Carolina. The first five teams on the outside of the USA Today top 25 are Illinois, UCLA, Florida State, Kentucky, and Boise State. USC, Georgia, Oklahoma, Florida, Ohio State, and LSU split the number 1 votes with USC taking the majority and therefore earning the overall number 1 spot in the top 25 coaches poll for the second week in a row.

Illinois and South Carolina moved out of the NCAA football top 25 coaches poll while East Carolina and California moved in. The USA Today football poll for week 3 will be out by Monday, September 15.
