Harris Football Poll - Harris Interactive College Football Rankings
The week 5 Harris football poll is now available. The Harris Interactive college football rankings actually start in week 5 of the NCAA football season. The Harris college football poll awards 25 points for a 1st place vote and 1 point for a 25th place vote.
The week 5 Harris football poll has two ACC teams, six Big 12 teams, two Big East teams, three Big Ten teams, two Pac-10 teams, six SEC teams, and four mid-major teams - BYU, Utah, Fresno State, and Boise State. The first five teams on the outside of the Harris Interactive college football rankings are Michigan State, Northwestern, Maryland, TCU, and Kentucky. Oklahoma, LSU, Alabama, Missouri, and Texas split the number 1 votes with Oklahoma taking the vast majority and therefore taking the top spot in the first week of the Harris college football poll.

The Harris Interactive college football rankings come out for the first time after week 5 of the season, so this is the first week for the Harris football poll.
Interestingly the Harris Interactive college football rankings for this week consist of the same 25 teams that are in the AP and USA Today polls. The Harris football poll for week 6 will be out by Monday, October 6.
