Football AP Rankings - College Football Top 25 Rankings

The football AP rankings are now available for week 1 of the college football season. In the college football top 25 rankings a first place vote nets a team 25 points while a twenty-fifth place vote nets a team 1 point.

The week 1 AP football top 25 poll has one ACC team, five Big 12 teams, two Big East teams, four Big Ten teams, four Pac-10 teams, six SEC teams, and three mid-major teams - BYU, Fresno State, and Utah. The first five teams on the outside of the AP preseason college football top 25 are Clemson, East Carolina, California, Florida State, and Boston College. USC, Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Florida, Missouri, and LSU split the number 1 votes with USC taking the majority and therefore taking the number 1 spot way from Georgia who held it last week.
